What we hold, and why
Short, and true. If something here is not what you find when you look, write and tell us.
What we collect
When you write to us: your name, your address and what you wrote. When you use a page we made for you, such as a reading, a glossary or a linguist's portal: the answers you enter and the time you spend, which are the work you are doing for us or with us. On this public site: the ordinary server logs any website keeps, and anonymous counts of which pages are read. Those counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and records nothing about you as a person. This site sets no cookies at all, which is why it does not ask you to accept any. If you change the theme or the language, your browser remembers that choice; it stays in your browser and never reaches us. And on our Frankfurt page, if you arrived by scanning a printed card, we count that the card was scanned. Booking a meeting takes you to Calendly, which is not part of this site and has its own policy.
What we do with it
We use it to do the work you asked for, to keep the record of that work, and to write to you about it. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising or with anyone who is not doing the work with us. When a translation's record names the expert who checked it, it names them only as they chose to be named.
Where it lives, and for how long
On our own systems, and with the providers who run them for us. We keep it as long as the work and its record need it, and we delete it when you ask. The one thing we cannot cut a piece out of is the published record of a delivered translation: it has to stay whole to be worth anything.
